چکیده

Abstract The quality of wave measurements is primary importance for the validation forecasting models, satellite calibration and validation, physics, offshore operations design climate monitoring. Validation global forecasts revealed significant regional differences, which were linked to different buoy systems used by countries. To fully understand differences between measurement systems, it necessary go beyond investigations integral parameters height, period direction, into frequency spectra four directional Fourier that are estimate distribution. We here analyse data measured from three sensors (non-directional Datawell Waverider buoy, WaveRadar Rex, Optech laser) operating at Ekofisk oil production platform located in central North Sea over a several months, with height ranging 1 10 m. In general, all provide similar properties spectra, although there some could impact operations, forecast verification For example, radar underestimates energy bands higher than 8 s 3–5%, swell (12.5–16 s) 5–13%, while laser has 1–2% more most energetic bands. Lee effects structures also estimated. Lower tail an effect on periods (they higher); steepness seen be reduced 10% wind seas. Goda peakedness unidirectional Benjamin-Feir index examined sensors.

Recovering vocal tract shapes from MFCC parameters

Recovering vocal tract shapes from the speech signal is a well known inversion problem of transformation from the articulatory system to speech acoustics. Most of the studies on this problem in the past have been focused on vowels. There have not been general methods e ective for recovering the vocal tract shapes from the speech signal for all classes of speech sounds. In this paper we describe...

Correlations between Spectral Parameters of Earthquakes and Damage Intensity in Different RC Frames

In recent decades many researchers have studied on the damage assessment of structures after a seismic event. To assess the damage of structures under an earthquake, it is so important to study the correlations between earthquake parameters and damages of the structures. A lot of seismic parameters have been defined by researchers to characterize an earthquake. Spectral parameters of an earthqu...

The Three-Wave Resonant Interaction Equations: Spectral and Numerical Methods

The spectral theory of the integrable partial differential equations which model the resonant interaction of three waves is considered with the purpose of numerically solving the direct spectral problem for both vanishing and non vanishing boundary values. Methods of computing both the continuum spectrum data and the discrete spectrum eigenvalues are given together with examples of such computa...

Comparative 3d Fem Analysis of Three Different Dental Implant Shapes

This paper presents the results of numerical modeling using the finite element method of three implants. Geometric models of individual parts of the analyzed system (implant, abutment and screw) and the standard models of the bone and the crown were built in the Ideas NX environment. On the basis of real geometric models the fully three-dimensional numerical models were built. The calculations ...

Sensors - Acoustic Wave Technology Sensors

Acoustic wave devices have been in commercial use for more than 60 years. The telecommunications industry is the largest consumer, accounting for ~3 bil lion acoustic wave filters annually, primarily in mobile cell phones and base stations. These are typically surface acoustic wave (SAW) devices, and act as bandpass filters in both the radio frequency and intermediate frequency sections of the ...
